Score from Blockbuster.

Unfortunately, Blockbuster is going out of business. I remember all of the times I have gone to Blockbuster and rented movies or games all weekend long. We would order a pizza and two liter and make popcorn. This was our weekend. When I pass by Blockbuster it still does fill me with memories. We were running a few errands on the weekend and Melissa saw the going out of business sign for Blockbuster and said, "Hey, do you want to go check that out? They say DVD's for $1.49." I said, "Hell yeah." Off we went. I was like a kid in a candy store. Moving from shelf to shelf, section to section, furiously sorting through the movies just to find the perfect one. I eventually had a hand full of movies. I counted them up and 20 was the number for the DVD's. We got two Blu-ray movies also. We checked out. Of course the cashier rang it up wrong and we were actually charged five extra bucks for the pile of movies. But I was okay with it, because look at the score:
  1. Green Lantern
  2. Street Fighter The Legend Of Chun-Li
  3. Final Destination 3
  4. Piranha DD
  5. Lawless
  6. Warm Bodies
  7. Wanted
  8. Minority Report
  9. Machete
  10. Friends With Benefits
  11. Hanna
  12. Halloween II (2009)
  13. Casino Royale (2006)
  14. Hostel
  15. Land Of The Dead (2005)
  16. Chloe
  17. Cowboys & Aliens
  18. Day Of The Dead (2007)
  19. The Last Airbender
  20. Super 8
  21. Gnomeo And Juliet
  22. The Purge

The super creative picture I took to show, there wasn't any DVD art.

Now the catch was, the DVD's were in cardboard sleeves, not cases with the graphic inserts. I had bought a couple movies from Blockbuster before without DVD art. I just decided to print off the art on a printer and call it good. The second catch, the printer was black and white. Oh well, if you look at the picture below, it actually doesn't look to bad. At least you can find them on the shelf.

Not a filter. The printer I could use was black and white only.

So bottom line, is it better to score movies for like five bucks a piece or one dollar if you buy 10 without DVD art? I say both actually but I couldn't pass this up. So a dollar for the movie and a dollar for the case and basically free DVD art equals a score. Go treasure hunting and you might end up with treasure.Till next time.
