Midweek update.

So this week's midweek update, is very exciting. I have put out two of my five stories. Yay yeah me! (side note, I guess "yeah" is used for "Yeah me too and Yeah for the home team.) Anyway, I am very excited, it takes me a little while depending on writers block or not, to get done with a story. As of this writing, Bruce Vs, has nine page views. Survival, the Beginning, already has five page views. This is amazing, it means somewhere someone has read my stories. Who knows if they like them or not, since there is no comments, but it is awesome. Now I only have four more stories in my head to write. That is until I come up with something new. Ha ha. Let's see, what else is going on? Since I was checking page views, my other stories are doing pretty well. The end of the day, it is not about page views or comments for me. I write stories for me and with stuff I like in them. You can check them out if you want. Wolverine VS 1 here. 2 here, Batman Dark Knight Of Vengeance here. Die Hard 5 here. Batman 4 here and my alternate here. Outbreak: A Zombie Tale, episode one Blood Faces, episode two Zombies!, episode three It's Airborne, episode four Raider's Of The Lost Warehouse part 1, episode four Raider's Of The Lost Warehouse part 2, episode five Green Cats?, episode six The Last Stand, episode seven Realization, episode eight Resurrection, episode nine Memory Lane, episode ten The Cure? part 1, episode ten The Cure? part 2, episode eleven The Precursor part 1, episode eleven The Precursor part 2 and episode twelve Termination here,

Shameless self promotion over. I don't really have much for this update, but what I do have I think is a lot. So if I think of anything else I will update this post. As always, the characters are owned by their respective companies and the stories are mine. Till next time.

Weekend review 2/22/14 - 2/23/14.

Monday, Monday. So on Friday I got to rent Machete Kills, with Danny Trejo. Reprising their roles was Michelle Rodriguez and Jessica Alba. New characters included Carlos Estevez (Charlie Sheen) and Mel Gibson. This movie was good and it's not supposed to be taken seriously. With that in mind, I kinda was hoping it would be better than Machete. I felt like they were trying to hard to not try to hard, if that makes sense? I would still buy the movie for my collection and I'm still look forward to Machete Kills Again In Space.

Saturday, we decided we were going have a relax day and not do anything. No errands or house chores. I decided I was going to get a few more chapters and levels of some old games under my belt. I started playing The Legend Of Zelda and The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past. I found an emulator for them and have playing ever since. I did play these games when they came out but I never was able to beat them. On the Legend Of Zelda, I beat level 6. On A Link To The Past, I beat chapter 6. You know what's funny? These games are like 20 plus years old and they are still challenging, for me at least. Ha ha. My journey will continue for both of these games completions.

Saturday night, we I, decided we should watch the 1974 version of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I had seen bits and pieces of this movie before, but never the whole movie. The remakes are actually really good. The original, not so much. I was truly upset and disappointed. It was a snooze fest. Leather face, wasn't bad but the acting, the characters, just all of that was not good in my opinion. I will never watch, or buy this movie. I will buy some of the movies from this franchise, but never this one. After that we decided to find something on Netflix. We agreed on the Truman Show with Jim Carrey. This movie actually holds up well and is still an amazing movie. I love it when actors are that good, they can sell the characters to you. That's why I love movies so much, you can be transported into a different life for a couple hours and feel what the characters feel. If you have never seen The Truman Show, please check it out.

Sunday, we had to do chores around the house and knock out some shows from out full dvr. Nothing too exciting there. Well this has been another exciting excerpt of my weekend life. Till next time.

Midweek update.

It's time for the midweek update. So, let's see, I wrote a few more lines for one of my stories. This story is proving harder to work on than I originally thought. I'm gonna keep at it and see how that goes. I haven't even touched the other stories I have. I've thought about one but thinking about it, doesn't mean actual writing progress. I came up with a fighting scene sequence, that doesn't have a story to it and would be hard to write but I might try. I know I'm adding more writing work to my plate but I have to write it down when inspiration hits me.

In the home front, dealing with moles sucks. I filled in all the holes I found and within an hour the little bastard came back. So our friend brought over some traps and set them up. I waited for a few days and we caught one. I set a few more traps today and I will wait and check them later. That's really all I have for this midweek update. Check out the picture below I found. Inspiration comes in many different forms. Till next time.

Weekend review 2/15/14 - 2/16/14.

Friday was Valentines day. I had to work, so we couldn't go out till Saturday. Friday afternoon, I bought some fresh bagels from Blazing Bagels. They even had a heart shaped bagel, of course I had to buy that. That night I stopped off and got some treats for Melissa, for Valentines day. Instead of going out on Friday night, Melissa got the Papa Murphy's heart shaped pizza and a salad for dinner. She rented a couple of movies for us, the first one was Riddick with Vin Diesel. It's actually the third movie of the series. And she rented Carrie (2013) with Chloe Grace Moretz. I think she did an amazing job in the portrayal of Carrie. That's pretty cool in itself. The effects were amazing. I feel it stayed true to the original. Riddick, I will buy for my collection. I guess I'm getting older, so I look at movies differently. Riddick was a really good movie and I think Vin Diesel is an amazing actor and is the epitome, of Riddick. My only kinda gripe is, Riddick is a ruthless killer. It's running through his veins. He had his eyes changed, so he can see in the dark. That means something. This movie is still bad ass Riddick but a little more mature Riddick. He has feelings and emotions, that was kinda weird to see but refreshing.

Saturday, we had our fresh bagels from Blazing Bagels, then we went over to our friends house to visit her and see how she was doing after her surgery. We stopped at Redbox to drop off our movies and rented some more. Melissa wanted Don Jon with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and I wanted Ender's Game. After that we headed to Ixtapa restaurant for some amazing Mexican food. After we ate too much Mexican food, we headed to the movie theater to see Endless Love. Yes, yes it is a chick flick but for our Valentines day dates, we try and see a love story movie. The movie was kinda slow but it was a really good movie. When actors and actresses, are actually good at acting, they can make the movie believable and that's what I love. It could a be "B" movie and if you believe what you are seeing, it will be an amazing movie. We had some stormy weather over the weekend. Melissa and I, have a bad weather curse for going to the theater. When there is bad weather, the theater normally loses power. so almost to the end of the movie, the power blinked or whatever it did and we lost the projector. Lights came on, so we sat there and waited for something to happen and they finally got the movie going. The restarted the movie for us and we got to see the end. After the movie, we went home to finish our date night. We popped in Don Jon and cuddled on the couch. Don Jon was, in my opinion stupid and a waste of time. Melissa took the movie and watched it herself as I watched Ender's Game. Ender's Game was really cool, weird, out there, wild, crazy, just weird. It was visually stunning, with a concept that has been done before but it did it in a new way. I'm glad, movie companies are trying new things, or at least trying a new direction for old movie plots. Melissa, actually ended up not liking don Jon either.

Sunday, was a long chore filled day. We had some molehills to take care of.

Little bastard piles of dirt.

We heard that pet feces, coffee grounds and dryer sheets repel moles and gophers. Earlier in the week I got some used coffee grounds from Starbucks. They give away bags full of them for people to take for free for gardening. I gathered up my supplies and headed out to conquer the hills. I scooped the excess dirt away and placed some cat bombs and coffee grounds in the holes then I would cover them up again. We had about 10 or so dirt piles. That was a lot of dirt to remove and holes to fill in. Well I was finally finished and started working on other chores. Melissa, noticed that there was a dirt pile again and asked if I had forgotten one. I looked over to where she was looking and the little bastard came back less than an hour after I was done working. we called our friend up and he brought over some traps to set up. We will see how it goes. Well as you can tell, this was a action packed weekend review. I hope you had a good weekend. Till next time.

Midweek update.

Well it's Wednesday, so you know what that means. It means it's time to check in and see what's going on with my blog. Well the exciting news is: drum roll please... I finished my Hulk story. I am very, very pleased on how it turned out. That, in my opinion, is one of the best endings I have ever written. I hope you liked it as much as I did. Other news, since I finished that story, now I have to start working on the other four I have. Ha ha. I have a lot in my head and it takes it's own sweet time coming out. I've made a couple line progress on one of the stories, which any progress is good progress. That story is gonna be a little hard, because I don't know what direction I want to take it in. Like based in reality or fantasy. Obviously, some aspects are already based in fantasy, but what can the characters do, is what I'm wondering.

I heard this a little bit ago but I never wrote anything on it. Educate, don't retaliate. The short and simple of that statement is, if someone asks questions on what you're doing, or working on, tell them. Explain what is is. If they are really interested they will want to hear about it. People are all too familiar with being picked on for what they believe is cool or fun. You never know, if you will show something to someone and they might love it themselves. So again educate, don't retaliate, no one will ever get why it is so cool to you if they don't understand it. And if the person takes a little longer to explain it to you, it's probably because they have never had someone actually take in interest in their stuff.

I saw this picture posted and it makes sense. sometimes you just have stop everything and hope for the best.

Well this midweek update is officially done.Again I hoped you enjoyed my Hulk story. Till next time.

Weekend review 2/8/14 - 2/9/14.

So this weekend we had a date planned for Sunday. That meant we had to get the house chores done on Saturday. Friday night I rented Last Vegas. That movie was really good. It had Morgan Freeman, Kirk Douglas, Robert De Niro and Kevin Kline. These actors played good off of each other. It felt natural and they are amazing actors so the make you feel for the characters. Totally worth renting.

Saturday was pretty boring. We got our taxes done. Yay. This is the time of year I hate. I hate having to stress over, do we have this paper for taxes or do we need this. I'm glad it's over. I'm proud of us for getting it done.

Sunday, I needed to get an oil change for my car. We got all bundled up for our cold weather. Got to Grease Monkey and they were closed. Waste of gas but we got a Sunday drive out of it. Sunday night was time for our date. We went to Galaxy 12 movie theater in Monroe. It's actually only like 20 or so minutes from our house. They have a Sunday deal for two movie tickets and a large popcorn for 16 bucks for classic movie showings. That's a pretty good deal, considering movie tickets are like nine bucks plus and popcorn is like five bucks or so. We got there early and we had to wait for our other friends to show up. In the lobby they have these seats from D-Box. They are movie simulator chairs. They are supposed to mimic the movement on screen. while you're sitting on it. So if a car is turning, the chair makes you move like the car. They had the preview for Need For Speed the movie. At first I wasn't going to sit in it but I changed my mind. Melissa and I sat down and I pushed the demo button. The chair started vibrating and gyrating. I couldn't actually picture myself paying extra for this feature. I think it would get old and start taking away from the movie experience. Like one scene for the movie preview, the car turns left but very sharp. Now normally if you were in the car, you would actually move to the right because of the force of the turn. The seat moved to the right, it's like in was counter intuitive. Again it took away from the experience. I'm glad I tried it but I wouldn't pay three extra bucks on top of my movie ticket for it. After we killed some time in the lobby, we got our popcorn and treats and headed inside the theater. We watched Stand By Me. I love this movie. I have always wanted to go on an adventure like they did when I was a kid. Of course I was never able to but I can still live vicariously through them. I don't even remember what age I was when I first saw it. It came out in 1986 so I was probable six or seven years old. The movie actually held up pretty well. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to go back for another classic movie. They are showing, The Neverending Story, Ferris Bueller's Day Off and The Breakfast Club just name a few.

Well that is the weekend review. If you get a chance, check out classic movie showing. It will transport you back in time for an hour or so. I enjoyed it and I will be going back. Till next time.

My Bucket List.

So I have been thinking about doing a blog about my bucket list. Or my list of things I want to do before I die. This actually is a lot harder then I thought. I actually have done a lot of things that I always said "I gonna do this when I'm older". So what do I do now? I have to come up with new stuff to do. I will add more to it when I come up with new stuff. I would suggest to anyone to do this for themselves. Make a list of all of your dreams, and ambitions. The real cool part? Crossing things off of your list.

I am going to put down some of my dream things when I was younger. This will be fun for me to look back and see what I wanted, and what I have accomplished. I will cross out the things I accomplished. You will also be able to tell some of these are around the same time, so it will kinda fit in the same category. My take on a bucket list, or a dream list is probably different then yours.

  • Own a 1964 Chevy Impala two door hardtop super sport. (Yes my dream was that specific ha ha.)
  • Build a house from the ground up.
  • Sit a three wheel motion.
  • Have hydraulics on a car.
  • Drive a three wheel motion around a corner.
  • Have loud car stereo.
  • Have wire wheel rims on a car.
  • Own a Dodge Neon. (Yes, I really dreamt of having one ever since I saw it)
  • Own a Lincoln town car.
  • Have a loud house stereo system.
  • Drive over 100 mph.
  • Drive over 125 mph.
  • See Mount St. Helen's.
  • Go to Yellowstone national park.
  • Go back to Yellowstone national park.
  • Go back to the 10,000 silver dollar bar in Montana.
  • Go to Las Vegas.
  • Go to New York.
  • Own or drive a 1959 Chevy Impala.
  • Own a classic 40's to 60's truck.
  • Go to the museum of glass in Tacoma.
  • Go to the museum of flight.
  • Own a "Tommy gun".
  • Own or drive a Range Rover HSE supercharged SUV.
Basically I have a lot of stuff I have on my bucket list as you can see. I have no clue if I will ever be able to do all these things but, dreaming about the things is part of the fun too.

Updated  2-17-12
I was going to make another post for this but I thought it would have been dumb to have multiple posts for the same thing.
  • Learn how to play the piano like the part in Rob Dougan's song Clubbed To Death Part 1. (Piano section about 2:56 into the song)
  • Go to Lego land.
  • See the Grand Canyon.
  • Go back to Long Beach Washington.
  • Go to Washington D.C.
  • Go back to the Grand Coulee dam.
  • See the Hoover Dam.
I will come up with more later.

Updated: 2-6-14.
It's been awhile since I even thought about my bucket list. So all of a sudden it popped in my head. I thought I need to go check and see if there is anything I can add or that I did. Well guess what? I did accomplish two things on there. I went to the Museum of Glass in Tacoma and the Museum of Flight in Seattle. Hell yeah. I love being able to mark things off. I also came up with some new ideas too. This updated list will probably easier to accomplish. Without further ado.
  • See Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band in concert.
  • See Rihanna in concert.
  • See Korn in concert.
  • Go to a football game.
  • Go to a soccer game.
  • Learn how to play the piano like in Rihanna's song Stay.
  • Learn how to play the piano like in Skrillex's song First Of The Month (Equinox). (Piano part about a minute into the song.)
  • Hike the other trail at the ice caves.
Well that's it for now. I will continue to update this when I think of new things.

Midweek update.

So today is Wednesday so it is time for the midweek update. Okay so let's start. The Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl. That's amazing. The city of Seattle threw a parade for the Seahawks. Both fields, Century Link and Safeco are sold out for viewings of it. That's pretty impressive. The running total of spectators is 500,000 and counting! Damn! I can't wait to watch it later. Of course I am at work while it's going on. Oh well. So I got more progress done on one story. I just want to write as good as I can. This story is really exciting for me. So stay tuned for that. I've decided since I resurrected one story I'm going to resurrect another. I wanted it to fit into a predetermined timeline and I just don't think that will happen. If I did that it would be a filler story and I don't like those, so I'm creating my own timeline break. That's how creativity thrives is by someone daring to be different. So all together I am working on five different short stories. I have one close to completion. Yay me. Other midweek news I found a couple new songs you should check out, the first is called: Diplo - Revolution and the second is called: A$AP Rocky - Wild for the night featuring Skrillex. Now I know these are probably older songs but they're new to me. I started playing a new game The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past. I know, I know you're like Ben that's 22 years old. And I will say, you're right, but I never played it when it came out. The power of emulators to relive childhood dreams is awesome. Well that's it for the midweek update. Till next time.

Weekend review 2/1/14 - 2/2/14.

Well it's Monday and time for the weekend review. So if you haven't heard the Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl! This is first time in franchise history. This is the second time ever going to the Super Bowl. The last time the Seahawks were at the Super Bowl, the Steelers robbed them. The referee calls were absurd to say the least. I don't know for sure if the Seahwaks could have won but, they could have had a chance at least. Cut to yesterday 2/2/14, different story and different players. The first 12 seconds of the game they scored. I had my hopes up high from that point on that the Seahawks would win and they did. This is truly amazing and the Seahawks deserved to win. They came to play and were hungry.

So Saturday we had to go shopping for the Super Bowl goodies we were going to have. That's it for Saturday.

Sunday, we woke up early to start making the food.  Unfortunately there is no pictures of the food because I was to busy eating it. Ha ha. Our best friend came over and she made some jalapeƱo poppers. Damn, those were good. Melissa made her famous cheese ball cracker dip and potato salad. I made my famous meatballs. The food was the best we have ever made. It was just that good. Just writing those sentences, made me drool. Ha ha. Again the game was amazing. I am so glad I witnessed history being made. Go hawks.

Seattle is a damn proud city and Washington is a damn proud state right now. Good job guys. I will see you next season rooting you on. Till next time.
