Video game minute.

On the weekend review, I told you about getting to go to GameStop to pick up some games. I got Grand Theft Auto V for Xbox One, Rise Of The Tomb Raider for Xbox One and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas for PS3. I told you before that I want to get San Andreas for both the 360 and PS3 so one version down. And I'm also going to have to get Grand Theft Auto V for PS3 and PS4. Speaking on getting the same copies, I'm going to have to get The Legend Of Zelda A Link To The Past for SNES and GBA. I love digital games, but I'm still stuck on having physical copies of games. And I need to get all the games I want for my collection. So even though I bought San Andreas digital, I need the physical copy too. I wish I could get Stories From Liberty City, or Vice City Stories on disc for the PS3. So Tomb Raider, was a lot of fun. What annoys me about new gen consoles is having to install each disc to the console. Now I am used to that for like Battlefield, GTA and COD, but damn. And this whole you can start now when it's half way loaded. I started loading Tomb Raider and it said it could start so I started playing and it wouldn't play past a certain point because it wasn't finished loading. The hard drive for the One is over half way full already. I'll have to look into the portable hard drives they have and what they do to help. I played the first episode of GTA V and all the controls are different from the 360. Switching people was so difficult and I started recording when I didn't want to. I'll have to figure all that out. I got good deals on the games and I am very happy with that. I still need to figure out the ten games for summer. I have to pick a game and finish it. Or at least dedicate my game time to one game at a time.

I read an article about a new Attack On Titans video game. It released in Japan first, but it supposed to come out in the u.s. soon. Anyways it looks amazing, you have to use your supplies wisely and you only get so many blades and gas. You hack and slash their legs, arms and then their neck. If you hit certain spots you get extra xp. There's a cool game for the ds, but Japan only and you would need a Japan spec ds in order to play it. This would be the times that I wish I knew Japanese. Well that's what I got for now, till next time.

Weekend review for 3/26 - 27/16.

Friday night, we rented Daddy's Home with Will Ferrel and Mark Wahlberg. It was okay and had some funny parts, but the best part was with John Cena.

Saturday morning, we got up, got ready and we headed out for a shopping date at Target for Melissa's birthday weekend. We got some Starbucks and started shopping. Melissa, found some stuff she's been wanting and we had some fun. After Target, we headed to GameStop so I could grab a few games I've been wanting. How nice of Melissa to have me join the festivities and let me get some games. I guess I need to start taking pics of the haul I get. After GameStop, we went to Hop Jacks for lunch. Our friends met us there and we got some pretty good food. I would actually go back. After lunch, we all headed to the movie theater to was Allegiant. The movie wasn't too bad, but I don't know what I was expecting. They broke the last movie in to two parts. After the movie, we headed to Dairy Queen for an ice cream cake and Albertsons for some dinner for later.

I got some game time in and I played Rise of the Tomb Raider. It was actually really good. They did change some things, but I liked it. Our friends came over to hang out for a little bit. After our friends left, we had our dinner and headed upstairs for bed.

Sunday was Melissa's actual birthday so I told her that I would do all of the chores so she didn't have to. After the chores I got some more game time. I was trying to play Grand Theft Auto V and the install was taking forever. I played some more Tomb Raider and then watched some shows. We made a really good dinner and watched some more shows. I hope you had a good weekend, till next time.

Video game minute.

Over the weekend I was able to get some game time in. I played some Tomb Raider. I was stuck on a part and I tried saving and was hoping it would save my spot, it did. In one of the secret tombs, you have to use some gas cans as weight for a ramp you have to run across. So you have access to two cans and two more are stuck on wood shelves. I take the first can, throw it on the ledge and it doesn't break, it lands right next to the other one. What the fuck!? Ha ha, my luck. So I get the other can and throw it on that she'd and it breaks. So I get the other shelf to break and start putting the cans on the ramp and off I go. I hate how I can't take bullets, but the enemy can. I hit them like five times and no effect. So I read in the GameStop ad, that they're having a sale and I saw they had Rise of the Tomb Raider for $40 on sale. I have to sweet talk Melissa to go to GameStop on her birthday weekend so I can get a video game, ha ha. I'll let you know how it goes.

Here's my initial thought of games for summer that I'll finalize later.
Call of Duty Black Ops 3
The Last Of Us
Lego Avengers
Lego Jurassic World
Captain Toad Treasure Tracker
Grand Theft Auto 3
Army of Two The Devils Cartel
Tomb Raider
The Rise of the Tomb Raider
Gears Of War 3
Far Cry Primal

I'll update the list later when I figure out what I want to do. Till next time.

Weekend review for 3/19 - 20/16.

So Friday, after work and battling traffic, I had a dentist appointment to go to. That was so amazing to do after a long busy as hell week. So my filling I had done two weeks prior either broke or cracked and it exposed my root. The dentist had to redo the filling all over again. So I got the dentist done and went home. So mouth and face was numb so I couldn't eat for awhile. It finally was going away so we had some dinner. After dinner, we watched some shows and we went to bed.

Saturday, we woke up and we had some coffee and breakfast. After that I got to play some Tomb Raider while Melissa played Animal Crossing on the ds. We headed out and went grocery shopping. After shopping we went to McDonald's for lunch. We got to sit inside and it was actually nice and relaxing. After lunch we headed over to the movie theater to watch 10 Cloverfield Lane. So I read an article and JJ Abrams, said it was loosely based off of Cloverfield. The previews looked pretty good so we were excited. We got in the theater and found our seats. So the movie was good and Hohn Goodman is an amazing actor he played his part very well. The movie leaves you hanging for a more complete ending, but not was worth seeing. After the movie, we finished grocery shopping. We got home and I started mowing the lawn. After the lawn I setup a trial of Hulu so we could watch Party Down South. What nobody tells you is, some shows take you to the shows website to watch them. Meaning we signed up for nothing cause we couldn't watch the show anyways. So I quickly canceled the trial because they didn't have any shows or movies we wanted to watch. We watched some other shows and we went upstairs and we streamed some movies.

Sunday, we had some breakfast and I built a new cart for our neice. I got to play some Tomb Raider and we watched more shows. Sunday night, we made some manicotti and it was amazing. We watched some more shows and we headed to bed. I hope you had a good weekend, till next time.

Video game minute.

This weekend I got to play some Primal and Tomb Raider. In Tomb Raider, I didn't do too much. I got to the section where the pilot was setting off his smoke flare. I was trying to get the "get over here" achievement because I missed it in a earlier section. It seems like you can only get them in those sections, oh well. I fired up Primal and I was trying to find the main mission, but had no luck. I helped a couple of the Wenjas, but that's about it. I got a new bonfire campsite and I got some leopard and jaguar skins. I found out that bears hate my wolf and will attack it then kill it. So I would be walking all of a sudden I see this death skull flashing in my screen. I'm like what the fuck, turn around and run for my wolf that's dying. I did one escort mission and I lost three of the four people. I found some blue hand prints and I couldn't figure out what to do with it. Basically I'm learning as I go. I don't want to have to rely on someone's else's walk through to figure my game out. We played some Lego Jurassic World. We finished part three and now we are on to part four. We still need to play Lego Avengers together. We have Captain Toad, Super Mario 3D World, Amiibo Festival and some others we need to finish. Pretty soon I need to come up with a new 10 for summer list so I can finally achieve my goal. It's going to be a lot harder now that I can only play on the weekends. I still need to transfer all the ROMs and save data to my Ouya. I need to do a lot of things.

Weekend review for 3/12 - 13/16.

Friday night, Melissa rented me Spectre, I couldn't wait to watch it. We got some pizza from Walmart and had a really good dinner. We watched some shows and then ungraded upstairs to watch some of Spectre. It was a good movie, but I felt like it was a long goodbye for James Bond or Daniel Craig. It was showing old villains and old characters. Melissa came upstairs and we watched Cloverfield, getting ready for 10 Cloverfield Lane. After that we headed to bed.

Saturday, we got up and we had some breakfast. Melissa was supposed to go to a birthday party, but the birthday girl was sick so Melissa got to stay home and we had a complete lazy Saturday. I got to finish Spectre and then I popped in Tomb Raider played for a little bit, then I played some Far Cry Primal. I love the openness to Far Cry, but I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what to do in it. I keep finding some missions, but they aren't main missions. I'll have to figure out what to do. Saturday night, we started doing our laundry and we took the Redbox movie back and we got McDonald's for dinner. We watched some shows and we set our clocks ahead an hour and watched some shows.

Sunday, since there was supposed to be a huge wind storm, we started charging up all the batter devices we might want if the power went out. I could t play any games cause I didn't want the power to go out while I was playing. So I played the ds for a little bit and we watched shows. The wind really started picking up, the kind of good thing was, it was light out so we weren't relying on lights anyways. We just kept watching shows and relaxing. I hope you had a good weekend. Till next time.

Video game minute.

So I told you about getting Far Cry Primal and Tomb Raider for my birthday. I really can't to be able to play again. I'm actually enthralled by these games. I haven't been this excited in a awhile. So Far Cry, has a main story line you can follow, but has so many side quests you can do. Collectibles, areas to claim and pieces of gear to find and upgrade. I'm still trying to get used to not following this path for this outcome. It has that, but you don't even have to follow that if you don't want to. It reminds me of Red Dead Redemption, speaking of, I wish they would remaster it for Xbox One. I would buy it even for $40. Tomb Raider, is really cool for the puzzles and trying to figure stuff out. It does have the main story and that's what they really want you to follow, but they throw in the tombs, collectibles and you can go back to each mission to complete all the side stuff like burning a poster or whatever. I haven't played a Tomb Raider game, in a long time. I remember the PS1 and PS2 games. The mechanics were weird and awkward. I can't wait to play some games over the weekend. I was holding San Andreas remaster for Xbox 360 in my hands and it was calling my name. I would need it for PS3 and Xbox 360 though. On the same vein, I checked out a used video game store that I work across from. They had whole grips of shit I want to buy. They had the special edition  GTA 5 bundle. It comes with a lockable money bag and other stuff. It was 90 bucks though! They had a whole shit load of GameCube games too. I didn't have long enough to check everything out. I saw they had A Link To The Past for the Game Boy Advance. It $25 though and not in that good of shape. If they would have had Minnish Cap, I would have bought it for $50 even. I really need to start buying these games. Man, now thinking about it, I should have looked for the Legend Of Zelda GameCube games! There's like three of them. I am definitely going to have to go back. Till next time.

Weekend review for 3/5 - 6/16.

Thursday I came home to some gifts. I got to open some early. I got a couple Knex Nintendo figures.

I was excited to add these to my collection.

So Friday night, I came home to the house decorated for my birthday.

I got to open a few presents and I was blown away by what I saw next...

Melissa got me my coveted green 8 bit Link I have been wanting for what seemed like years. For dinner we had some Subway. We watched a few shows and we went upstairs and we watched The Night Before. It was actually really funny. I hadn't laughed that loud in a long time. After that we went to bed.

Saturday we got up and we had some cinnamon rolls for breakfast. We got ready and we headed out. We went to the casino to get the birthday cash for some slot play. I lost all the free money, but I got to cash out $13 bucks! Woo hoo, after that, we headed up to Target. I had some cash in my pocket burnin a hole in it. I was looking for the iOS jump drive they had. It's supposed to hook into your phone and you can transfer all your photos and videos. I couldn't find it anywhere so off to the video games I went. I found Tomb Raider definitive collection for $30, which is a sweet deal. I grabbed Far Cry Primal, both for Xbox One. I love the premise of Far Cry, it starts in the prehistoric era. After Target, we headed to Ixtapa for some good Mexican food. We sat down and orders some food. Our other friends showed up and we were having fun. One of our friends starts freaking out. We were like what the hell? We thought maybe it was her ex or something. She's hyperventilating and I turn around and look at a women that looks like Anna Farris, no way, I look again and the guy takes off his hat and it looks like Chris Pratt. I look at the lady again and it is for sure Anna Farris and Chris Pratt. Holy shit!! We told the waiter to offer to buy them a drink, but they declined. So we waited for them to finish and then we asked the waiter if it was okay to take a picture, Chris Pratt said yes and we got a picture. How cool is that!! After lunch we headed home. I popped in Far Cry primal and it was fun as hell. I like the concept of it. I played for a couple hours and threw in Tomb Raider. Tomb Raider is fun too. We watched some shows for a little bit and then went upstairs and we watched a movie.

Sunday, we did our normal house stuff. I got a couple more hours on Tomb Raider, but I got stuck on one place so I didn't get a chance to play Primal. After some internet research I got through the puzzle. We made an amazing dinner and we watched some shows. After awhile we went to bed. I hope you had a good weekend. Till next time.

Video game minute.

So I though this might happen. So last week I started this video game minute hoping unwound have something to write about. Well my schedule at work changed so now I don't have my time at night to play any games. I'm gonna have to carve out some hours on the weekends now, which is fine, but we get busy on the weekends. And when am I going to get time for my Raspberry Pi or Ouya? No clue, but I'll figure it out. So Raspberry Pi just released a new version. It has a quad core processor with 1.2 per core, built in wifi and Bluetooth and its 64bit, but can still run 32bit with according to them, 50 percent more speed then Raspberry Pi 2. That's impressive, the only thing that has really changed is the power requirements. Now it's 2.5 amps out, but it's still $35 bucks! Damn!! So people were running PS1 games on the 2, just imagine what they might be able to on 3.

So my birthday is this weekend and I had an idea on what game I want to buy. I really think Far Cry Primal sounds and looks like fun. So I'm gonna get for the Xbox One and I was thinking about getting the iOS lightning jump drive. It hooks up to all things iOS and then to your computer with USB so you can transfer pictures and videos. Right now I'm using different things to backup our phones and it's a pain in the ass. I just hope it works out. So here's to hoping for a more intuitive video game minute next week. Till next time.

Weekend review for 2/27 - 28/16.

Friday night, we had some dinner and then we headed upstairs to watch Straight Outta Compton. We saw it in the movie theater, but we wanted to watch it again. After that we went to sleep.

Saturday morning, Melissa did some house work because Sunday, we had a birthday party to go to. I had my dentist appointment at 12 so we headed down there. I'm glad we're getting stuff fixed, but this pin going along with it sucks. After my dentist appointment, we had to stop by Walgreens for a prescription and then we headed home. I started watching Daredevil on Netflix to check it out. My mouth was still numb and I was still calming down from my anxiety so I needed a breather. After a couple hours, we did some more house work. We watched some shows and it was time for dinner. I through in some frozen pizzas add we watched some shows. We headed upstairs and we watched the first couple episodes of Fuller House. It was okay, but all the gags were done within five minutes. We finished the second episode and went to sleep.

Sunday, we got up and we took our showers and we had some amazing soft cheddar cheese bagels. Before we knew it, it was time to head to the birthday party. We headed down to Snohomish and we found the party. So our friend was born on February 29th so it's a leap year so he has only technically had a few actual birthdays. It's weird how it word out like that. He seemed really happy and there was like 100 or so people there. After the party, we headed home to start getting on our new schedule. My schedule got changed to 8:30 to 5, so our new dinner time will be like 6:30. We made biscuits and gravy casserole and it was amazing. We watched some more shows and we headed to bed. I hope you had a good weekend, till next time.
