Tis the season.

Do you wanna know what the best gift to give someone is? Love. Show them how much you care about them. Do something out of the ordinary to show them you care. It doesn't have to be something big, it can be a small gesture of your love. I try and do this as often as I can. I don't always do this, and Melissa, does this all the time for me. So when I can repay her in a small surprise, I am going to.

I wanted to show Melissa, how special she was, and how special our holidays are.
Updated 12-1-11 Another picture of the ornament.

This will be 12 years of being together for Christmas! And this will be our second year being married for Christmas. I saw this project, and I though to myself, why not!? I'm gonna do this and try and show Melissa some Christmas cheer and love. I think it turned out very well considering, I am not crafty. To be honest this was my second attempt ha ha.

My other Christmas cheer, I bought Melissa, a Starbucks cake pop. she loves these. So I got the holiday one, and attached a little note telling her I love her.

Peppermint brownie cake pop, from Starbucks.

I don't have good handwriting, but I think she got what I was saying ha ha.

So you don't have to do huge gifts constantly, but remember sometimes it's the small things that count.Try it out on your love, and see the smile on their face.

Tis the season to be merry. Everyone can be a Santa, if they try.

Decorating weekend.

So last Wednesday, I told you about my tradition of my Starbucks ornament tree. We decorated the house over the weekend. And we put up the Starbucks tree.

If you look close there is a happy Jack ball in there lol.

I can't wait for next year, to see the new Starbucks ornaments.

That's not all we decorated. We decorated the whole house!  It is a lot of work to decorate, but the payoff is totally worth it. I love being able to enjoy all of our decorations. We decorate early so we can really enjoy the month and what it means to us. I hope everyone is able to enjoy this month too. Merry Christmas.

I wanna help too!

Can you tell I'm trying to be "artistic" lol.
Merry Christmas!

Cellphone pic Thursday Thanksgiving edition 11-24-11

I really hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving like I did. Yesterday was the best day, with my wife Melissa. It showed me, that Melissa, and I, can make our own life, and our own traditions. We will continue this in the years to come. I will always remember this day, and this time with my wife.

Well happy Thanksgiving.

My Starbucks Christmas tradition.

So every year, I go to Starbucks Coffee, and find the newest ornaments. I have done this for the past 3 years, and today I got to add another one to our collection. I love these ornaments, and every time I see them I smile. There just so damn cute haha. I will post a picture of our ornament tree soon. If you like Starbucks as much as I do, I would definitely recommend buying these ornaments. If you have never tried Starbucks before, this year would be a good time to start.  I only bought the white cup this year, but the other ornament is damn cute too.

Have a great Thanksgiving tomorrow, and if you can, donate some food to a food bank. There are people out there that need a good Thanksgiving too, that won't be able to have one without all of our help. Thanksgiving is about "giving" and being "thankful" for what we have.

This was the first year they introduced the cold beverage cup. Notice there is no straw in it. 2009 series.
This is the 2010 series. Notice the straw in the cold beverage cup.
2011 series.

Can you tell the difference in the camera resolution? LOL

Wild, and crazy cats!

Well it is Monday. We never got any snow at our house over the weekend, like they said we would. Snow did happen, just not around our house. Cool with me haha. Have you ever mowed the lawn in November? Well I have. It was not fun, it was damn cold. At least it looks good now. Enjoy the post about our new cats!

A month ago now we got some cats. We originally wanted just one, but we got two instead. They were a bonded pair. We have really enjoyed the company, and just having someone else at the house with us. We have had some accidents, and some learning curves but all and all it's going good. They are older, so we don't have the crazy kitten type cats running around. Which is good, I don't think I would be able to keep up with them haha.

This is Sara, but we call her Cow. lol.
Cow is our more outgoing cat. She will meow at you for attention. She will come up and lay on you.

This is Snowball, but we call her Coke. Those pretty blue eyes.
Coke is really shy. She has finally gotten better with being more out going with us. And she finally, comes and sits on Melissa's lap. Slow progress is better than no progress. Coke, has some pretty blue eyes. When she actually looks at you lol. I have more pictures of Coke, because she's finally letting us take the pictures.

So if you're thinking of buying a cat, you should think about adopting them instead. You will be doing those cats a favor.

The calm before the snow storm.

So allegedly, we are supposed to get our first real snow tonight. Well whatever, I will believe it, when I see it. All I do know is it's Friday. and it's time for the weekend. Even though they say it's supposed to be under 30 degrees this weekend, I am still looking forward to it. Have a good weekend, and stay cozy, and warm. We're going to.

Movie Review.

So I finally got to watch, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollows Part 2. I have been watching Harry Potter, since the beginning. I have bought all the movies on DVD, and now starting to buy them on Blu-ray. I was always fascinated with the story, and the characters. Watching the characters develop, and grow over time. It really is a fascinating story. Harry Potter, as a sheltered, shut in, kept in a closet under the stairs in his uncle's house. 4 Privet Drive to be exact. To become the world's most powerful wizard. He was always wondering why he had a lightning bolt scar, and why his parents died. He was always treated as a bastard child by his aunt, and uncle, and his cousin. He received a letter from Hogwarts, in the mail, and his uncle took it away from him. He said that Harry was not gonna be like his parents. Well you can't stop magic, and you can't stop Harry Potter, from who he's going to be either. His aunt and uncle, had this brilliant idea they could escape the magic by leaving town, and live on this island. It was Harry Potter's birthday. Harry got a visitor, Hagrid. Hagrid gave the letter to Harry. Harry, finally got to read his letter, and found out he was accepted to Hogwarts school, and he finds out he is a powerful wizard. Well cut to The Deathly Hollows Part 1. This movie changed a lot of the story. Main characters died, or got killed. You honestly think the worst. Harry, was supposed to find all the Horcruxes and destroy them. Horcruxes, when destroyed will weaken Voldemort. Harry's enemy, his parents killer, his dark equal. Cut to The Deathly Hollows Part 2. Hogwarts school comes together and helps Harry Potter. They go to war, and try to defeat Voldemort. Harry is given memories from Professor Snape. This let's Harry, know his full past.

I am not going to spoil the movie.

When the movie is over, I felt a sense of accomplishment, a sense of completion, and a sense of being left to hang. Yes you get to see what happens, but I was kinda disappointed in the ending. I really didn't know what to expect, and I really didn't see another way to end it. I guess I had my hopes up for more. Since I already invested so much time, and effort into this series. I watched all the movies a couple of times each. I watched them in sequence. I watched them from the end to the beginning. Just so I could catch all the little details, I missed the first time through. So when it came time to watch 7 part 2, I was really excited, and kinda scared to see how it ended. In the movies, you are lead to believe so many different things, then poof, it's all different. It's climatic, but anti climatic. I guess the movie did what it was supposed to do, sure, ya, but I wanted something more.

Harry Potter as a whole, is an awesome movie, and series. The absolute ending, I'm not really a fan of. But definitely see it, and, or buy it. I would recommend it to anyone.

Should have posted this for Halloween.

So I took this picture just messing around. When I went back, it looked like I was headless. I so should have posted this on Halloween, but oh well. Here it is now better late then never. And also I have been feeling like utter shit lately, due to being sick. Three weeks into it. This seriously needs to be done and over.

October, is always my favorite month, but my worst month. It's been five years. It is getting better. I feel better. But sometimes, it feels like it happened yesterday. Without the strength from my wife Melissa, I would not be able to be here now as strong as I try to be. I am forever grateful, and thankful for her, and for the strength she gives me. Babe, I love you. Thank you.

Missed opportunity for a scary Halloween picture.
